We're On The "Other One"

I have been wanting to make that headline for about a week now. As the time goes by, and things are busy, and fun being had, it is SO easy to NOT make a damn blog entry!!

But, that being said, there is it. We are on the "Other One" - the other Highway 1. I grew up on the west coast Highway 1, and it was always kind of a zen center to many people around me. Going for a drive down the coast, top down, Roy in my rear view - sun going down on our right as we head south. We have landed in Opposite World in Malabar, Florida.

Our Place

If that picture isn't enough to make you click for more, we had an addition to the family this week.

So, if you don't click the More link, I will make Angie give the puppy back...

[More:]

haha - Ok, maybe not, because he is pretty damn cute. he found Ang at a pet store on Friday, Mar 9. We went back and forth on a few names, but fell in love with one - Malabar. After inspiration from some board members on IRV2.com, we decided on Sir Onan the Brave of Malabar, or Malabar for short. The Onan part came from the fact that he is a bundle of energy :)

Other than the addition to the family, the last couple of weeks have been action packed. Here is the Reader's Digest version -

Went to Philadelphia and New York City for a week and met up with Jon and Tim - fellow geeks that I work with on Seth's team. Had a blast!! First time ever to both cities, and although I didn't spend much time on the streets, Jon and Tim made sure to show me to bullet points. Philly cheesesteaks at Geno's, Pizza in Brooklyn, subway ride, The Continental in Old Town Philly. We even got some work in.

After I got back from Philly, we met up again with Damien and Michelle and, as always, had a blast. The night before we left Clerbrook, we celebrated Damien's birthday with a killer dinner, cocktails, a dip in the hot hot hot tub, and then the rest of the night saw me playing DJ on the Tivo. I think we crashed before the sun woke up...

We moved from Clerbrook to Camelot RV Park in Malabar. Ends up we got the BEST spot in the whole park. If you end up in Camelot, you must pick The Bishop. It is right across Highway 1 from the Indian River, the weather has been incredible, it is close to the beach. All the right things!

Then there is this little chunk of love. He is a great pup, and everyone in the park knows him already. There is nothing cuter than this guy going on a walk. For every one of my steps, he takes 100.

That is all you get from me right now, but there is more to come. We met a great couple from Canada that are fulltimers as well, so stay tuned for more adventures. I have more pics to upload, and my fingers are numb from typing ;)

Malabar is a Shih Tzu. He was born December 18. The Shih Tzu usually has the long fu-man-chu looking fur, flowing and pony-tailed at the top of their head. If Ang does that to this guy, I am packing up in the middle of the night and moving ;)

By the way... Malabar is very sweet looking and Angie looks like she just adores him!.

It looks like you two are enjoying the East Coast way too much! Don't forget that they do have a hurricane season there ...we only have minor "Margarita on the Rocks" shakers!

We are loving the right side of the US. We also know that we will be out of here before the big heat and big bugs and big winds come :)
