Angie and I are RVing fulltime in our 2006 Monaco Knight 40PLQ. I work full time as a web programmer, and Ang works full time taking care of me :-). Thanks for reading our stuff.
So bummed - had to put the top back on the Jeep today. We have really enjoyed having it off for this week. But, it may rain in the next couple of days, and we are on the road again on Sunday, so it was time to re-mount.
I am a little bummed about leaving this side of Florida already, as it seems that I did not make it over to the beach as much as I had wanted. But, that never happens, does it?
It will be sad to leave our new friends too - the Canadian Dynamic Duo. Bryan and Cat are a lot of fun. Ang has been going to the beach with them a bit, and we have gotten together for a few meals and cocktails. Tonight's dinner was pretty mellow, compared to an evening the other night that included a bit too much tequilla...
Bryan and Cat started fulltiming this summer when they escaped Canada for the winter to come down to the warmth of Florida. They are techno geeks too, so it is fun talking shop. I first found them while reading RV.net and saw that they were youngins going fulltime. I contacted Cat and we talked a few times, and I would pop in on their blog every now and then.
Surprisingly, Ang and I were on a walk around the park and I noticed an Escalade 5th wheel, and a white dually with a license plate frame that said "foreveryoungrv.com". No way! I went back and looked at their blog to see where they were. Well, much like myself, they had been having way too much fun lately and had not updated for a while
I shot Cat over an email and found out that it was them!
They have been having a great time, and are also with the belief that this is the coolest lifestyle ever. Like with Damien and Michelle, it is nice to have someone to talk to about all the little things that we have in common as vagabonds - storage issues, RV mechanical issues, being close to the beach if we feel like it
Bryan became an honorary hero of mine tonight because he is VERY familar with my favorite Canadian show "The Trailer Park Boys".
In totally other things, my coach has been having electrical gremlins lately. I am having issues with the electrical element of my water heater, and tonight I switched my fridge over to propane because it was not getting very cold. Hoping that the gas will get it chilled out a bit better. The tank level indicators have been whacked for the past month or so. Both of the A/Cs were giving me hassle tonight too, and then I found that none of the remotes on my weather station are checking in! WTH?? Possibly just needs a reboot. It will have one this weekend.
Problems, smoblems. This was the sunrise this morning.
Makes daddy all better ![]()
