Still Alive!!

Thanks for all the emails - nice and otherwise - asking if we are still alive. I am happy to report that, yes, we are alive and well and still in Florida! We are in Panama City Beach at Emerald Coast RV Resort, and have again hooked up with Damien and Michelle for a week of fun and adventure.

I will try to get caught up in the next couple of days, because we have had some cool adventures, as well as some repairs and modifications to the "house". So, for now, click through for a sampling of pictures...

[More:]

Here are some pictures to get you visually caught up.

Universal Awesomeness
Ang and I went to Universal Studios while we were in Malabar. We had a lot of fun, as the park was pretty empty and we had the Rock Star Pass (or whatever they call it). Front of the lines, baby!

This was taken as a shout to my brotha Tom. Holler. Tom has an "in" with the rock sensation "Shunt". I have been in need of an emergency Shunt trip.

Check Tom's PimpCast (or Podcast or Podshow or whatthehellever) at the Play Monkey's Pod Show. You will never be the same...

Partying With The Silvers
After we left Malabar, we headed over to Port Richey to hook up with Damien and Michelle again. They keep trying to ditch us, but we keep finding them :) The RV park was a major snowbird hangout. We were a little concerned that we would be way too out of place, but we didn't have much choice - February and March is full on snowbird season in Florida, and finding a campground with two vacancies was pretty difficult.

We were pleasantly surprised that we found the Silver Party Park!! These guys were great, and knew how to have a damn good time. We were on "the corner" - the place where the parties were! It was cool how inviting everyone was. We met some great people, and we were able to get our funk on at the Senior Prom (thats what we called it - it was the end of the season dance at the park). I think there are pictures circulating of me doing the Lambada with Sharon Pickles!! (I KNOW I could have scored digits...)

There was a giant indoor flea market next to the park, so we had to pay a little Saturday visit. Found a cuban guy rolling cigars, so had to get a couple of Churchill's!! Awesome watching him do his thing.

Another Adventure at Camp Wildwood
After we left Port Richey, we were back in Wildwood at the Monaco Service Center for a rear A/C replacement, water heater element replacement, and a full service. It was a long week, but those guys are awesome. Nothing but good things to say about them. I am proud to own a Monaco if this is what I can expect for customer service.

Wildwood to PCB - Johnny Law Gets A Hold of Me
We were very happy to leave Wildwood. We had reservations in Panama City Beach that we kept pushing off because of the service wait. We left Wildwood pretty late, and ended up overnighting in a nice rest stop in I-10, just before the PCB exit.

Cruising down the highway, all excited to finally be out of a parking lot, heading to the beach, hooking up with D&M - it was a great buzz. That buzz came to a crashing halt when I thought I could make the yellow light, instead of hitting the brakes and sending the coffee pot to its death. Well, I thought I could make it, but the highway patrol two cars in front of me thought it was a little pink when I was going through the intersection. He was cool, I was humble, I got a written warning. Suckage.

No matta. We made it to Pleasantville - or Emerald Coast RV Resort. "Little boxes, on the hillside. Little boxes made of ticky tacky..." by Malvina Reynolds comes to mind. It is a perfect little park, perfect little trees, lots of families, no dumpsters - they come by three times a day for trash collection. It is close to the beach, but far enough away from the Spring Breakers. We like.

No promises on when the next post will be, but I want to show off my new lighted handle that I made for the coach, as well as my new water pressure regulator. Good Times!!
