Seven Seven, Whoa Seven

Whoa. My baby girl got married on Saturday, 7/7/07. I am not sure I could have been more proud of her. What an honor it was walking her down the isle.

You can probably notice in the above picture that my heart was jumping out of my chest, and my pride was spilling over onto the church floor. I have experienced some wonderful things with my kids, but walking Arin down the isle was one of my great moments.

See more pictures of me in long pants on the Click...

[More:]

Arin and Zach did a wonderful job of putting this wedding together. I like to think that I was involved - lots of phone calls from Arin, even pictures sent to my phone while she was shopping for a wedding dress. But, I can't take any credit. It was all them. They stuck to a budget, and put together a wonderful party that they will remember for a very long time.

The wedding was made one better by having my mom, sister Ellen, and niece Rachel, fly in from California to join in on the fun. Having them here meant a lot to me and the bride and groom. Doug, Alicia, and Lonny also made it out, and it was great catching up with them. Lonny's remark - "are you really wearing pants???!!!". Yea, and socks too :)

Thanks to everyone that came out for the wonderful event. Also, thank you, Zach, for marrying my daughter. I know you two will be happy together forever, and will raise a beautiful little girl that you will someday walk down the isle. Congrats you two. I love you both.

Ang and I are wrapping up our two week stay at Chatfield State Park on Sunday. We are not positive as to where we will be going next, but it will probably be to Golden, which is close to the service center that will hopefully take care of our current issues. The road to Denver was a rough one, and I can't wait to get everything put back into place and working again.

The picture above was taken at a state park just up the road from where we are staying - Roxborough State Park. It is a beautiful, small park that has a lot of hiking trails, and a lot of wildlife. During a short drive through the park the other night, we saw several deer, a bear, and the largest frog I have ever seen. The rock formations are incredible, and we plan on doing a big hike or two in the next couple of days.

Other than are mechanical issues (including an A/C unit that went south), we are having a great time here in Denver. We have been hanging out with all of the kids quite a bit. It is never enough, but it is more than usual :)

I have really enjoyed the posts and emails I have been receiving from people about the blog and pictures and such. Thanks! I am always happy to see that others are reading and enjoying our adventures with us.
