Angie and I are RVing fulltime in our 2006 Monaco Knight 40PLQ. I work full time as a web programmer, and Ang works full time taking care of me :-). Thanks for reading our stuff.
My hopes and dreams were sent swirling down the Black Tank of Life today, all before noon. All it took was the simple phrase from the service manager - "No A/C for you!".
We have been waiting three weeks for our service appointment at Windish RV Center. Each day we mentally crossed off another day, excited for our day to get here. One less day of being in a 90 degree home. One less day until coolness.
I went to bed last night and had happy dreams. Dreams of me running through a field of wild flowers, hand in hand with a Dometic Duo-Therm 13.5k BTU air conditioner, skipping and laughing life's troubles away. Cool, gentle breezes blowing through our hair.
By noon, my dreams were unexpectedly shattered - like being half way through creating a Word document and realizing you hadn't saved it when you see the Blue Screen of Death. Even though I had gone in last week and talked to them to confirm they had a unit in stock, they still had no problems telling me that they wouldn't be able to get one until this Friday. Shipping from California. I told them I made it in two days from Cali, and I had to stop and go number one a lot. Didn't make them adjust their estimation at all. Friday.
So, here we are. Still prisoners in our Carny World for the rest of the week. Another week in the 90's. No problem - at least I still don't have a property tax payment ![]()
