Angie and I are RVing fulltime in our 2006 Monaco Knight 40PLQ. I work full time as a web programmer, and Ang works full time taking care of me :-). Thanks for reading our stuff.
Early news in my email inbox brings the shocking news - The Man burned, but not when he was suppose to. It appears that The Man, the wooden stick dude out at Burning Man, decided to do a little burning on his own last night (CNet story here). Arson? Terrorists? Spontaneous combustion triggered by the total eclipse of the moon last night? Rumors are abound, but I have my own theories...

Personally, I think it is too coincidental that George Bush flew in to Reno last night, and came directly to the Grand Sierra Resort. I think that Mr. Bush probably started asking around the hotel what all the oddly dressed people were doing, found out about Burning Man, and was taken out to the Playa by Secret Service so that he could see what was going on.
Once out there, the 98.5% liberal attendees decided to show Mr. Bush exactly what all the hoopla was about. After a ride in an art car, and a stop at Pinkies, I believe Mr. Bush taunted the liberals into making "not an all-out burn, just a small burn to show superiority". Once The Man started to become inflamed, I am confident that Mr. Bush got nervous about what the conservative media would say about his visit, so decided to withdraw the flames.
I heard he gave it a "Mission Accomplished" stamp of approval, however.
Alright, so maybe my theory is just what bounced around in my head this morning, pre-coffee. But, the facts remain - The Man did partially burn last night, and President Bush did fly into Reno, and came out to the Grand Sierra. You fill in your own blanks.
In other totally unimportant news, I am packing up the home to leave Reno this morning, to head back to San Jose for a bit. Hopefully I will do a bit of updating on recent happenings, but we all know that is not likely.
Reno has been fun - we enjoyed staying at the RV park at the Grand Sierra Resort, even though it is really just a paved parking lot with hookups
We spent time with Angie's sister and brother-in-law, and their friends Jave and Ally at Kevin Dillon's birthday bash at Nikki Beach, I went out to dinner with Angie's mom Donna, we saw a bunch of Burning Man friends that stopped by on their way to the Playa, and went to Angie's nephew's second birthday party. Action packed week.
Angie took off for Burning Man yesterday, so hopefully she was awake to see all of the action explained above. I will miss her while she is gone, and hope she has a wonderful time. Brother Roy is out there to make sure she doesn't blow away in a dust storm, so that helps me sleep at night. For me, I have to start with the House Disassembly now so that I can hit the road.
Thanks to Brad for the breaking news story on The Man. I am sure they will build him better, stronger, faster, for the Real Burn on Saturday.
Stay the course, my Burning Friends...
