Angie and I are RVing fulltime in our 2006 Monaco Knight 40PLQ. I work full time as a web programmer, and Ang works full time taking care of me :-). Thanks for reading our stuff.
While a morning conference call at 9am is not so out of the norm, the person to which I talked to was. Our 9am conference call was with a writer with Time Magazine, interviewing us for a possible upcoming article for the magazine!
It started yesterday when I received a comment on a post by Sandra telling me about a possible opportunity to be interviewed. She said that she had read on RV-Dreams.com that a Time writer was looking for some subjects of an upcoming article. I contacted Howard & Linda of RV-Dreams.com and asked if they would pass my name along to the writer.
In what seemed like the blink of an eye, I received an email from Liz - the writer from Time. We set up the time to meet this morning, and she punctually called at 9...
We talked for about 25 minutes on speaker phone so that Ang and I could both contribute. Liz asked some very interesting questions about our life on the road - why we started, what our friends and family thought about what we were doing, challenges and things we didn't like about the lifestyle. When she asked about what we didn't like, Ang and I looked at each other with a blank look - we couldn't come up with anything! I think I mentioned something about the challenge of coming up with a budget for something new like this, but other than that, we couldn't find anything.
We are both excited about the prospect of us being in such a prestigious magazine as Time! I will keep the blog posted as to when or if the article will run, so everyone can rush out and buy up some copies to see our smiling faces ![]()
We send out our sincere thanks to Sandra for letting us know, Howard & Linda of RV-Dreams.com for passing our names along, and of course to Liz for taking the time to call and chat with us!!
