We Found The Cure!

And Robert Smith, too!

Tom and Jessica, Ang and I found The Cure at the Shoreline Amphitheater last night. The Cure has been Angie's favorite band since she started listening to music. She knows all the words to all the songs, has weird facts about Robert and the band, and can tell a story about something that happened in her life to any Cure song that comes on. She is, without a doubt, a "fan".

We had a great night out with Tom and Jess. We went to our favorite sushi haunt, arrived at the venue just as AFI were playing all their cool songs, and finished up with desert at their place. The ending of the night was a little sad - it would be our last outting for the summer with them, and we won't see them until spring when we return to the Bay Area after the winter thaw. We will miss them sorely.

[More:]

We should be ready to leave in California in the next couple of days. Last night on the way home from the concert, it was 56° outside. Yes, I said 56°. Thats just night right. We come inside our home and cranked the heat pumps - it was time for serious heat. I think we stayed too long. We are both allergic to the cold.

I think we got most things settled out. There are still a few loose ends to tie up, I have a couple of projects due at the beginning of the week, and I think we are done with doctors and dentists for a bit. Ang got her eyes readjusted by Dr. K, and she now has 20/20 in both eyes! Quite a change for her from 20/250. But, the price to pay was looking like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for a couple of days. Thought the look was cool so I snapped the above pic. It is quite flattering :)

I did a chassis lube today on the Monaco - getting her ready for the road. The chassis lube is not too bad of a job - but I got nice and dirty crawling under the coach. I also did a few other little maintenance things, and tried to clean up the basement to get things organized. Didn't make much of a dent. I have to make some room for my propane patio heater that I rescued from storage - don't care what I have to toss out, the heater will fit!!

Malabar going for a ride

So, hopefully we can get our act together so that we can hit the road. We have until the end of October to get to Sarasota, but we have a few things to do along the way.

Wish us cheap fuel and smooth roads...
