A Change In The Weather

What a difference a couple of days make. Over the course of the last several days, we have been in three different time zones, and went from 15% humidity to 90%, mid 70s at midnight to 53°. I almost forgot what rain and cold and humidity was like. I have been reminded.

The 18th hole at the Buckhorn Lake RV miniature golf course.

We arrived at Rainbow's End yesterday evening just as the sun was dropping. In the half-darkness, I connected the outside umbilicals while Ang got the inside set up for living. As I was setting up the satellite dish, I took great notice to the fact that I was extremely wet. The sky was clear, so that could only mean one thing - we have found humidity.

Going from the desert to the sauna is quite a change. For those that live here, it is no big deal - it is just the way things are. For a large man to enter this environment and have to do things to set up his house, it is a harsh transition. I figured the way to transition easier is to just expose myself slowly. My solution: stay inside and work all day today. Worked out pretty well. Cept for the fact that it rained all day today, and was not nearly as humid. Whatever.

But, I'm not complaining. This trip has been so great. We have really enjoyed the journey so far. We have seen some great places, met some wonderful people. We have especially enjoyed this roadtrip for some reason. It may be that we have "slowed down" a bit and have enjoyed some places. The double quotes were thrown into that last sentence because of the irony of that term. "Slowed down" to us means only 1100 miles in two days. But, we have stopped more than usual this time.

Interesting sites to see when you slow down a bit

Maybe we are growing into this lifestyle slowly but surely....

Hey Kev...
Are you an Escapee? Where will you be staying in Florida...other than the same CG as Damian & Michelle? Safe journeys to the east, you two!

Indeed - we are Escapees. They are a great organization, and our association with them has helped us out a lot, especially with our residency things and our mail. They are great.

We are going to Sarasota first and staying at Sun N Fun. We got a great monthly rate from them. After that we are going to be at Ft. Desoto - an awesome county park close to St. Petersburg. Not sure after that, or when we will see D&M. They are out there already, and busy with shows.

Hope all is wonderful in the PNW!!
