Angie and I are RVing fulltime in our 2006 Monaco Knight 40PLQ. I work full time as a web programmer, and Ang works full time taking care of me :-). Thanks for reading our stuff.
Five weeks at Sun N Fun. Five weeks. When you are use to moving every two weeks or so, five weeks feels like licking your way all the way down to the tootsie roll center when you are use to two licks and a full bite.
Sun N Fun was just fine. We met a lot of really cool people, did lots of things in the area, effortlessly got our mail, and found new and exciting ways to enjoy pool-side cheeseburgers and beers. It was also a great place to try out my new Dri Wash N Guard waterless car wash product, because the trees were constantly crying sap all over our vehicles.
We left Sun N Fun on Monday morning and drove the excruciating 45 minutes to Ft. Desoto County Park, just outside of St. Petersburg. Last year we drove through the park at the suggestion of Damien and Michelle, and we knew we had to stay here. We ended up making reservations way in advance. There is a very good reason this place fills up so fast...
Once we landed and got set up, Ang said "we are parked on Gilligan's Island". So true. This place is a tropical paradise with water and electrical hookups. We have made it a point to stop and watch the incredible sunsets each day. They are golden and beautiful, with mild mid- to upper 70s in the evenings. I feel like The Professor on Gilligan's Island, but with a laptop and EVDO Rev-A service instead of a pedal-powered bamboo sewing machine.
We will be here for a total of twelve days, and we will enjoy each one of them. Ang went to the beach today, and after work, I cleaned out the basement storage. If a guy has to clean out his basement storage, it might as well be surrounded by palm trees, on a crushed shell pad, with warm breezes blowing over him. Why not?
We had a fun month in Sarasota, so I thought I would summarize with some pictures!
That was pretty much our month. Between visitors and moving, I sold my ladder at a yard sale, updated my coach network thanks to Brother Roy, got a billion mosquito bites, worked a bunch, decided to bag the HughesNet and go total EVDO, trashed my old single LNB DirecTV dish and went with a three LNB - so now running separate receivers in the front and rear, and now, wrote one blog entry. Good month ![]()
The last thing of noteworthiness that I did was start selling Dri Wash N Guard waterless car wash. I was so impressed with how it treated my RV and Jeep that I thought this would be a good thing to sell on the road. I am building a website so that I can sell online, and will put up some signs in the coach for casual sales. This stuff is awesome, especially when staying in parks that don't allow washing of vehicles. Now I will always be clean!!
Back to Survivor. Gotta see who goes home (bye bye PG)...
