Angie and I are RVing fulltime in our 2006 Monaco Knight 40PLQ. I work full time as a web programmer, and Ang works full time taking care of me :-). Thanks for reading our stuff.
I didn't have to suffer through the arctic chill for too long. Florida came back today - the winds died down, and the chill left the air. The best part was that it was nice enough to stand out back and enjoy another amazing sunset.
But today was about more than warmth and nice sunsets - today was Malabar's first birthday! I think Ang wanted to invite the other little doggie neighbors over, maybe rent one of those blow-up jumpy houses, themed party hats and such, but we settled on celebrating with a blog entry ![]()
We got Malabar on March 9th of this year (one day after Arin's birthday). When Ang brought him home, we had no idea what to name him. One of the things I did was to put it to the members of IRV2.com to help us out. I had mentioned that he was a "bundle of energy", so someone suggested Onan (the generator people). It eventually morphed into his official AKC name - "Sir Onan the Brave of Malabar". It met our requirement: it had to be a "noble" name to go with our Monaco Knight.
He has gotten a bit bigger over the past few months. He was 4 and a half pounds when Ang picked him up, and he has chunked out to 15.3 pounds of late. We had a few concerns when he was young, and at times, I thought I would toss him out and do the "I don't know where he is..." thing. But, all that passed, and he has been a great companion. He is a great traveler, and a friend to everyone that rubs his belly.
So, happy birthday Malabar. Heres to many more birthdays down the road.
Can't help myself - one last sunset picture ![]()
