Command Performance, RevKong Update

After some nudging from my public (ok, one of you), I have returned with another installment/update on “RevKong”, my 1979, 30’, Special Edition, Class “A”, Motor Coach, “a work in progress”.

[More:]

As soon as Dig shows me how to post photos, I’ll enlighten you all with “before” pictures of the beast in its natural state. RevKong currently resides at Leale’s RV Repair http://www.lealesrvauto.com/. My “Must Do” list is growing as you read this. A new fan clutch is in our future now. This is a thingy that helps keep RevKong cool and happy in traffic and around town driving situations.

My interior renovation project is currently at a stand still. My plan to have the old carpet out by takeoff for a trial run on 6/23 seems like wishful thinking. Looks like Skid and I will be roughing it old school with 30 year old carpet, no 12 volt and no plumbing? Oh well, we’ll have 120v for air conditioning and some clip on lights around the interior of the coach. We’ve been through worse.

I’m drawing a line in the sand…I will have the RevKong carpeted and clean by the 1st annual Chillaxnet.com River Rafting Expedition on July 14th! Even if it’s the last thing Dig, Skid and I do! Luxuries like, running water and 12 volt lights may be wishful thinking but who knows? I do know that Jessica isn’t interested in Kong in its current state of comfort or beauty.

So overall progress is show and unsteady but what's new? I'll try to write more often I guess that blogs, like rv renovations don't start themselves!
