Thursday I tried to start my Onan generator and it wouldn't start. There was spark with starting fluid so I checked the fuel pump.It was dead. A new 12V fuel pump from Kragen did the trick. I added a fuel filter before the pump since the auxiliary tank is likely a little dirty. I changed a bunch of cargo locks etc. also.

I replaced the shower vent/fan/light today. It was a breeze. The hardest part was cleaning the old sealant from the old vent. I used some roof sealant around the edges for a watertight seal. The front vent is capped off with a sheetmetal cover. I see that this was the source of the leak and rather than replace the vent the previous owner capped it. This was the only source of a leak so I think I'll put a simple vent back in.

There is some water damage along the front ceiling from this old leak. I need to fix this de-laminating wood area. The drop down bunk is also water damaged so I'm going to remove it and re-build it out of plywood.

I decided to tackle the no 12V when off of shore power problem. I noticed a fairly large gauge wire capped off near the battery. I traced it back to the battery connector terminal on my converter. I crimped a lug on and hooked it up and the problem is solved.

I also took the satellite mount off of the rear and will remove the TV antenna as well. I sealed all the little screw holes with silicone.

Plans for tomorrow include the bunk work, water damage work, and changing out my coolant. I have too high of a percentage of antifreeze that is causing boil over. Antifreeze is a less efficient conductor of heat and expands much more that water alone. In California anything more than 20% antifreeze is unnecessary and actually makes the engine run hotter.
