7 cubic feet of cold!

I picked up a Dometic RM3762 at Camping World this morning!
$1079 for Presidents Club members!

The thing is huge!

[More:]

I took the wooden doors above the old fridge off and jig-sawed the cabinet to open up the cavity to the top of the cupboard. A bit of internal demolition was also needed to make room.

Once the cavity was prepped I called my brother Tony to come and help me get it into the RV. It's a big sucker!

After realizing that it was too big to go thru the door and panicking for a couple of minutes, I took a measurement and realized that if I took off the doors AND the hinges it would fit thru the 24 inch door...just BARELY!

We got it thru the door, put the hinges back on, and installed it in the cabinet. The fit was perfect.

I put the doors on and went to install the wood grain door panels. They were not the right size. The Camping World guy seemed to have trouble finding the right ones and got "help" from another employee. So its back to "the World" tomorrow to get the right sized panels. If they don't have wood grained ones I'll probably just get the black Plexiglass version.

Also, upon unpacking I noticed that the top left corner of the freezer door was slightly damaged so I need to have them order me a replacement plastic piece under warranty as well.

I plumbed up the propane but did not plug it in or wire the 12V because I had to transport it on its side in my truck and it needs to sit upright for 48 hours before starting it.

I'll be picking up a water pump as well tomorrow. The current one is ancient. It is a LOUD motor with a belt drive. It sounds like a jackhammer so out it comes!

I need to get Discount Tire to order 6 of the odd sized 8-17.5 truck tires for install next week.

Once the tires are on I will drive it to Ideal RV in Redwood City for an estimate on repairing the holding tanks.

My goal is to drive the Brave to Dark Skies in May.

Looks like it will be ready!
